방위사업청은 오늘(31일) 한화오션과 한국형 차기 구축함 KDDX 상세설계 및 선도함 건조사업 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔습니다.
총사업비 7조 8천억 원 규모인 KDDX 사업은 7천t급 구축함 6척을 국내 기술로 건조하는 첫 '한국형 이지스구축함' 건조사업입니다.
함정 전투체계와 소나체계,야마시타 토토슷테 애기다기능위상배열레이더,함대공유도탄 등 주요 무기체계도 국산화됩니다.
이번 KDDX 상세설계 및 선도함 건조사업 예산은 총 8천379억 원으로,한화오션은 상세설계를 거쳐 2032년 선도함을 해군에 인도할 예정입니다.
이 단계에서는 기존 기본설계 결과를 기술자료와 제작도면 등으로 구체화하고,야마시타 토토슷테 애기이를 바탕으로 함정 건조 및 시험평가를 통해 성능을 검증하는 절차가 진행됩니다.
당초 2023년 12월 기본설계 완료 후 2024년부터 상세설계·선도함 건조에 착수할 예정이었으나 기밀유출,방산비리 논란으로 방사청이 사업자를 선정하지 못하면서 사업이 2년가량 지체됐습니다.
결국 방사청은 국내 조선업계 양강인 HD현대중공업과 한화오션 간 경쟁입찰을 강행했고,이달 초 한화오션을 우선협상대상자로 선정했습니다.
사업이 장기 표류하면서 KDDX 사업의 기술 진부화 우려도 제기됐는데,방사청은 대드론방어체계를 비롯해 5G 기반 유무선 통합통신환경,디지털트윈 기반 함정설계·건조 기술 등 기본설계 이후 발전된 최신 기술도 적극 반영하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
정재준 방사청 기반전력사업본부장은 "한국형구축함 사업은 최고 수준의 함정 건조 및 방위산업 역량을 결집하는 국가적 프로젝트"라며 "미래 작전환경에 최적화된 함정을 적기에 전력화할 수 있도록 후속함을 포함한 사업추진 방안을 다각적으로 검토할 예정"이라고 말했습니다.
방사청은 상세설계 마무리 후 2028년 말부터 나머지 후속함 5척에 대한 발주를 시작해 2036년까지 모든 후속함을 해군에 인도하는 것을 목표로 하는 것으로 알려졌습니다.
